My Underworks Review

Do pardon my wordiness…

So I ordered some Underworks 997 Medium white binders. I ordered the 3pack because having one binder is mildly problematic (I bind daily). My first binder was an adjustable and I somehow failed to realize that you can’t adjust Underworks binders. I have none of the awkward rubbing issues I had with the other one due to the velcro and other then needing a -little- break in I’ve found them overall functional.

Here’s a list of the pros and cons I’ve experienced thus far.

Pros: A nice, tight bind.

The mesh/lycra mix has a sweat slicking effect.

Cons: Rolling. Everyone has the rolling problem, I find it really helps to tuck them into my undies.

Non-adjustable. The lack of being able to let them out makes getting in and out of them again a rather interesting affair, as a diver I can best compare it to my experiences with a wet suit.

I should also note that this particular model binds aalll around and I’ve seen a few guys commenting on how uncomfortable the stomach bind is. It -will- bind your spare tire so if you have a sensitive stomach I highly recommend a shorter model. Personally I like the belly-binding because it encourages me to eat less and discourages eating food simply because it’s -there-.

When purchasing these I highly recommend washing your binder before your first use, they seem to slip on a little better when wet. Also keep in mind they are not entirely ‘pull and flatten’ capable, you’ll want to do some manual shifting of your own. I find the down and out (towards the armpits) method works best.

And on a mildly TMI note if you have a flat enough chest to wear tight shirts when you bind, these binders -will- show off your nipples, so mind their positioning if you plan to do so.
