Schizophrenia and transition.

So I’ve heard that it can be incredibly difficult to get letters from gender therapists if you’re schizophrenic, which poses a huge issue for me, being schizo myself. Seeing as the dysphoria was there long before the onset of my illness, I don’t really understand why it would be a problem, and I don’t see it as fair. Anyone know anything about this and how exactly it would interfere?

Also, if any of you know of any gender therapists in central MA(Worcester area), that would be greatly appreciated, since ‘net resources are coming up dry.
